Cathay Venture Inc. is the venture capital arm of Cathay Financial Holdings, Taiwan's largest financial holding company by assets. It was founded in April 2003 and is based in Taipei. It runs as an evergreen fund and invests in unlisted companies at all stages, from seed to pre-IPO. It says it has invested in more than 400 companies. Its overseas focus covers Taiwanese companies abroad, technology in the U.S., Europe and Japan, and growth markets in Southeast Asia.
