Founder Institute South Africa is the South African chapter of the Founder Institute, a global pre-seed startup accelerator operating since 2009. It runs a part-time online programme that helps founders at the idea and pre-seed stages reach the milestones needed for investment. The Founder Institute first opened in South Africa in Johannesburg in 2013, its first location in Africa. The chapter is now listed in Cape Town and serves founders across the country, with a local team of directors, mentors and partners.
