Geek Ventures is a New York venture fund founded in 2021 by Ihar Mahaniok, an engineer from Belarus who worked at Google, Facebook, WeWork and Lightning AI. Its motto is "Built by Immigrants, Investing in Immigrants". It invests at pre-seed and seed, from idea stage to $1.5M ARR, in US-focused companies and is sector-agnostic. It also helps founders with fundraising, investor introductions and community. Fund I closed at $23M in 2023.
