Loyal VC is an evergreen venture fund based in Toronto, set up in 2018 and led by managing partners Kamal Hassan and Michael Kosic. It invests only in founders from three networks: INSEAD alumni, Founder Institute graduates and companies referred by its own investors. It starts with a $10,000 pilot paid over 10 months, then offers follow-ons of $200,000 and more to the best performers. It is open to all industries and countries and says it has made over 500 investments in more than 70 countries.
What they invest in
We invest early in top founders from three global networks: INSEAD, Founder Institute, the largest pre-seed accelerator, and our community of 200+ investors. We support them with 1,000+ advisors, earning loyalty for preferred access to follow-on deals.

Founders apply through one of three routes. INSEAD alumni email Loyal directly. Founder Institute graduates are put forward by their local director, one top choice per chapter. Loyal investors can also refer a company. Founders must work full-time on the business and own at least 10%. Loyal also takes on advisors who mentor its portfolio founders.
