A Path I Thought I Knew

From a young age, I thought my future was set. Becoming a nurse felt safe, practical, and responsible. I wanted stability, a way to support my family, and a clear path forward. Passion didn’t guide my decisions then; responsibility did. I believed that if I worked hard and stayed disciplined, I could achieve a stable life—but I didn’t yet know where my true potential could take me.

A New Direction

I didn’t plan to become a digital marketer—it found me. What started as curiosity slowly became a passion. I spent nights learning, experimenting, and figuring out how creativity and strategy could come together to make real impact. Digital marketing became a space where I could combine my analytical skills, creativity, and drive to make measurable results. For the first time, I felt a sense of possibility beyond simply following a safe path.

Facing the Dark Phase

2023 was one of the hardest chapters of my life. Anxiety, self-doubt, and mental health struggles often took over. Some mornings, getting out of bed felt impossible. Some nights, my thoughts kept me awake. I questioned myself constantly. But even in that darkness, I learned resilience. I learned the importance of showing up, taking small steps, and keeping faith in my growth, even when the outcome was uncertain. This period taught me that strength isn’t about never falling—it’s about rising every time you do.

The Turning Point

Everything shifted when I joined the Openfor.co Fellowship Program in November 2023. Suddenly, I was part of a community of 150+ ambitious young people, all hungry to learn, compete, and grow. Being around such talent challenged me, inspired me, and helped me push past my limits. Through this journey, I earned an internship at Openfor.co, where I applied my skills in real-world projects alongside startup founders, mentors, and global professionals.

What I Learned
