About
Tao Romera Martinez is a startup operator serving as Chief Operating Officer at Soundraw, a Tokyo-based company founded in 2020 that builds an AI music generation platform. Soundraw's service lets video creators generate royalty-free music by choosing genre, mood, length and instruments, and then customise the result. Tao brings an operator's perspective on running an AI product company, generative AI for music, and building a creator-focused software business from Japan. The role provides direct exposure to how a small startup team takes an AI product to creators and manages day-to-day company operations. Tao is particularly relevant to conversations around generative AI in creative work, startup operations, and growing a Japan-based software product for creators.
