Fumiaki Koizumi

Fumiaki Koizumi is a technology executive serving as Director, President at Mercari, Inc., the Japanese marketplace app company. He is also CEO of Kashima Antlers F.C. Co., Ltd., a role he took on in August 2019. A Waseda University graduate, he began his career at Daiwa Securities SMBC, where he managed the IPOs of tech companies including mixi and DeNA. He joined mixi in 2006 as Director, Executive Officer and CFO, supervising its Corporate Division. After leaving mixi in 2012 he supported startup companies, then joined Mercari in December 2013, became a Director in March 2014 and President & COO in April 2017. Mercari went public in June 2018. Fumiaki brings a finance and operator perspective on taking companies public, building corporate functions, scaling a consumer marketplace, and managing a professional sports club.
