About

Omar Abedin is a startup ecosystem builder and consultant serving as Country Manager KSA at Platform01 Consulting, a Dubai-headquartered management consultancy, and is based in Riyadh. He is the founder of PTH Venture Studio, described as Pakistan's first venture studio, which backs pre-seed and seed startups. He was Chief Marketing Officer at Graana Group of Companies before being appointed Project Director of the National Incubation Center (NIC) Karachi, a role he held by 2021. He has also served as Director for Founder Institute Karachi and as a startup mentor for National Incubation Centers across Pakistan, and was a Founder Institute Japan mentor in 2024. Omar brings an operator and ecosystem-builder perspective on incubation, venture building, brand and marketing strategy, and early-stage founder support. His work gives him direct exposure to how early-stage startups are selected, supported and prepared for investment, in both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Omar is particularly relevant to conversations around incubator and venture studio models, brand building for startups, early-stage founder support, and building companies in emerging markets.
