Kei Watanabe is a product growth and strategy expert who co-founded Glasp, a social learning platform empowering users to highlight, organize, and share knowledge from the web. With a passion for building sticky, organic products, Kei has helped grow Glasp from zero to 3.5 million users—entirely through community and content-driven strategies.

Professional Journey

 

As Glasp’s co-founder, Kei has led product management, growth strategy, content marketing, and team building. His role spans the entire product lifecycle—from ideation and execution to user engagement and scaling—focused on driving growth without paid acquisition.

 

Prior to Glasp, Kei worked in product and marketing roles across the U.S. tech ecosystem. He advised a restaurant business in Seattle using data analysis, founded a student-company matchmaking organization in the Bay Area, worked on an ad-tech team at a major IT firm, and served as a product manager at a San Francisco-based startup.

 

Through his journey, Kei has consistently focused on building user-centric products that solve real problems and grow through trust, value, and community.
