✅ Eligibility Criteria:
- Client must have an account in good standing.
- Client must be invited by Upwork to join the program.
- Client can manage service contracts with eligible freelancers according to the stated Terms.
- Direct Contracts can only be offered to freelancers who:
- Do not have a pre-existing relationship with Upwork.
- Have never had an account with Upwork’s predecessors (oDesk or Elance) prior to 2014. - Freelancers must register for an Upwork account as required by Section 1 of the User Agreement.
- A Client can have multiple active Client Initiated Direct Contracts.
- A Freelancer can only be engaged with one Client through a Client Initiated Direct Contract.
- All other engagements of the Freelancer will be subject to Upwork’s standard fees and terms.
